Why your business needs a professional logo design

Your company logo will, in a glance, give the first impression of your service or product. And your potential customer will make up his or her mind in a split second if you’re a trustworthy, dependable company.
If your logo looks slapped together, maybe your products are slapped together. If your logo looks like an afterthought, maybe your customer service is an afterthought. But if you have a professionally designed logo that is polished and well thought out, then your company is probably well planned and organized too.
It is important to have a professional design a clean, sharp image to represent your company.
Here are six ways a graphic designer should help you with a logo:
1) Provide a variety of high-resolution logo files that you can use if you need to reproduce your logo on shirts, giveaway items or products.
2) Decide on colors to use in your logo and the rest of your company brand. The choice of color may seem insignificant, but it often has the power to convey meaning, good or bad, to a potential customer. Getting the right color (not just red or blue or green, but what KIND of red or blue or green) can be critical.
3) Think outside the box. Most times it takes someone outside the company to give a new perspective on your service or product. An original approach conveys the idea that your company is different from the rest.
4) Create a clean, simple image of your company that will set the standard for the type of service a potential customer can expect from your company.
5) Decide if you need a “text only” or “iconic” logo. A text only version is your company name written with specific font and/or font treatment. A logo that uses a bug or icon with your company name is also possibility. There are pros and cons to both and a professional can help you determine what your company needs.
6) Provide competitive logo research so your logo does not resemble your competitors.
